Building houses, castles and even entire worlds is nothing new in the video game arena, and with the popularity of Minecraft on the rise, more and more gamers are getting a kick out of building their ideal home, castle or monument.
According to the game?s wiki page, ?Minecraft is a sandbox construction game?[that] involves players creating and destroying various types of blocks in a three-dimensional environment. The player takes an avatar that can destroy or create blocks, forming fantastic structures, creations and artwork across the various multiplayer servers in multiple game modes.?
Fantastic structures are right?players spend a lot of time creating, building, sometimes destroying structures in Minecraft and many times the results are astounding. It?s amazing how creative some of these gamers can get whether they?re building a home or an entire city.
To give you an idea what some players have come up with, let?s start with the interior of a home built in Minecraft.
Minecraft Master Architect lJellel created this lovely medieval home out of wooden planks, stone bricks, and what looks to be sandstone. We?re pretty sure more materials went into the creation of this house both inside and out, but just at first glance we can?t help but think, ?Man, the winters must be cold wherever this house is.? We can definitely picture deer antlers and other battle trophies lining the great halls of this home.
Check out this modern marvel. Aptly named the ?Modern House,? Minecraft player mrwiggle noted that this is their very first modern built structure in the game. It makes sense that the house is made entirely out of blocks, but it?s still pretty remarkable how much time was spent on creating every last detail. Hardwood floors line the interior of the house, along with stone tables and appliances, and plenty of cubby space for books, weapons, and other knick knacks.
Now this is a house that every parkour runner will want to tackle. You can tell that Minecraft player farbenemo1 paid extra attention to detail while creating this impressive work of art. Glass windows line the walls of this palace, ensuring plenty of light will come floating through?that and it?s a pretty unique aesthetic element. And did you take a look at all those gables? Wow, just wow.
The use of different textures and shapes is a common theme throughout the homes of Minecraft, and a lot of times players will recreate existing structures to complete their world, like recreating the Pyramids of Giza, the Eiffel Tower, London Bridge, or the Empire State Building. In Minecraft, there?s no such thing as a limit on creativity.
